BIOGRAPHY
Dr. York, Assistant Professor of Management and Associate Dean of the Undergraduate School of Business, obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His M.S. in Organizational Psychology was earned at Auburn University (Montgomery, AL) and his Ed.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Dr. York's professional experience includes more than 25 years in operations management and strategic management across an eclectic range of industries from manufacturing, healthcare and education. As both a chief financial officer and chief operating officer his responsibilities have included strategic planning, budget planning, facilities management and quality and compliance. His educational experience includes more than eleven years on the faculty of the Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University where he now serves as Associate Dean.
He maintains an active research agenda with topics of interest in operations management, supply chain management, process improvement and the linkage between satisfaction, quality and performance outcomes in healthcare. His research has been published in the Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Health Administration Education, American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Journal of Pain and Symptom Management and Journal of the Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel.
He was twice named Most Inspirational Professor in the Massey Graduate School of Business and has received the Outstanding Teaching Award, Outstanding Service Award, Outstanding Scholarly Activity Award and Dean’s Award from the Jack C. Massey College of Business.

Katie earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas and an MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville. Prior to coming to Belmont at the beginning of 2017, she worked as an academic advisor at the University of Kanas. Katie moved to Nashville to be closer to her twin sister and her sister’s twin boys. She enjoys reading, watching movies, hiking, and traveling to new places. Currently, Katie is half way through reading Sir Arthur Conon Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes collection.
Katie works with faculty and current students in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Finance, General Business, and Management Information Systems. In addition, Katie works with adult students pursuing the Professional Bachelor of Business Administration (PBBA) degree in either Accounting or General Business.

After growing up and going to school in Kentucky and completing an MBA at Miami of Ohio, I began my career in sales and marketing and managed sales territories throughout the southeast. I moved to Nashville in 1993 and began taking classes in Healthcare Management at Massey. I spent a year working with a local healthcare company before transitioning to the Director of Career Development for the College of Business in 1999. In my current role, I manage the Massey College of Business Career Development Center and maintain key employer relationships. I provide career coaching to undergraduate Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems and Economics majors as well as graduate business students and experienced Massey College of Business alumni. I also teach the Freshman Business Experience and Career Development Seminar classes. After growing up and going to school in Illinois, I moved to Nashville in 2008 to work at Belmont and have been here ever since. I spent two and a half years working in Student Affairs before transitioning to the career development team in 2012. In my current role, I provide career coaching to students and alumni, manage the undergraduate business internship program, teach the undergraduate internship and career development courses, and develop and maintain relationships with employers for the purpose of connecting with our students and graduates. Hailing from Champaign, Illinois, Taylor attended Belmont and graduated with his B.B.A. in Management before heading down to the University of South Carolina to earn his M.Ed. in Higher Education & Student Affairs. After working in Boston for a little while, Taylor returned home to Nashville and Belmont to support prospective undergraduate business students in discovering Belmont. Taylor is currently pursuing his MBA through The Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business with a focus on marketing coursework. Passionate about education, access, and music, Taylor serves as a Young Leaders Council Intern on the Board of Directors for Jazz Empowers, a nonprofit organization.
